Selection Cross

A single cell can be marked with the selection cross. By clicking on a cell that has not yet been revealed, the selection cross is displayed. Clicking on the same cell again will hide it again.

For some Sudoku variants such as Jigsaw or Chaos, the box in which the marked cell is located will also be highlighted in color with one click.

By marking it with the selection cross, the selected cell becomes the active cell. This will apply all inputs to that cell.

Notes on the Sudoku board and the buttons

Notes

Any cell that does not yet have a solution and is hidden can have a note added to it in the form of a possible solution. When a cell is solved, the notes for that cell and all cells related to it (by boxes, rows or columns) are removed. Notes are displayed as small values in the cell.

If a cell is highlighted and note mode is activated, the possible solutions for this cell that have already been noted are highlighted in the buttons.
