Window Sudokus are a variant of the classic Sudokus. In addition to the 9 boxes, there are 4 3x3 windows in a Window Sudoku, which follow the same rules as boxes and can therefore help solve the Sudoku.

To solve a Window Sudoku puzzle, the basic rules of Sudoku are applied. These specify that in a 9x9 Sudoku, each number from 1 to 9 may only appear once in each column, each row and each box. If a number has already been revealed or is specified, it is excluded from all other cells in this row, column or box.
