A 9x9 Even & Odd Sudoku puzzle

EVEN & ODD

Even & Odd is a Sudoku variant in which, in addition to the normal rules, some of the cells on the playing field are highlighted in color.

What these cells have in common is that they have either an even or odd number included. However, since none of these cells are given at the beginning, players must first find out what lies beneath these cells before they can use them as a solution hint.

Terms

Highlighted Cell

There are randomly highlighted cells on the playing field. These contain either all even or odd numbers. This makes these cells suitable as an additional solution aid that can be used to rule out possibilities.

Rules

To solve a Sudoku puzzle, the basic rules of Sudoku are applied. These stipulate that in a 9x9 Sudoku, each number from 1 to 9 can only appear once in each column, each row and each box. If a number has already been revealed or is given, it is excluded from all other cells in this row, column or box.

The marked even or odd cells do not create any separate rules, but rather an additional challenge to find out what value these cells have.
